Consignors, you spoke, we listened.
Many of our consignors have asked to donate their items rather than consigning and receiving commission--which got us brainstorming... We think it’s ALL good. You can take your consignment cash or credit and reinvest in sustainable clothing for your kid--garments that you can consign again; and around and around we go, spinning our way out of fast fashion's disposable culture, one piece at a time. If you prefer seeing that money go elsewhere, we’ve implemented a triannual platform where you can donate and engage with your community more deeply.
Every 4 months Welcome Future Kids is spotlighting a local organization that needs immediate monetary support to accomplish their essential work. We are partnering with small, boots on the ground organizations with urgent current needs. Timely micro funding makes a huge immediate difference for these organizations. We are looking first and foremost at organizations that support families in need. We’ll keep you up to date on social media about where those dollars are going and the difference they are making.
All garments marked with an *asterisk* on our site are a part of the philanthropy program. When you click on a product page, the initiative will be named and linked so that you can find out more about it and you can also always go here to get in depth information on the organization that we’re currently partnering with.
The beauty of this is that the buyer, the seller and the facilitator (us) get to be a part of a support system for these organizations that are doing important work in our communities. If you want to go deeper with any of these organizations, consider this an introduction and you will be able to contact them directly if you want to participate or collaborate further.
